What we could and could not read
The Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) site returns a browser verification page to automated requests, including from our servers, so we could not read the content of its terminal and tariff pages. What we confirmed is from the authority’s own published sitemaps (fetched 2026-10-21): the Port of Savannah has a Garden City Terminal and an Ocean Terminal , each with a holiday hours and gate closings page, and the authority’s terminal schedule pages include rules titled free time, holidays, and demurrage, detention or per diem. We give no free days, rates or hours for them: open the pages in a browser.
How the calculator handles Savannah
Use port code USSAV in the calculator. It counts from the date you enter using the carrier’s published US tariff, prefers a port row over an all-ports row, and says “not calculated” when the tariff does not state when counting starts or we hold no tariff. For working-day tariffs it skips Sundays and the US federal holidays below; it does not know a terminal’s own closures.

On gaports.com, in its marine terminal operator schedule pages. Its published page index lists rules titled free time, holidays and demurrage, detention or per diem. We could not load those pages from our servers, so read them in your browser.
Does the calculator know Savannah terminal closures?
No. It skips Sundays and US federal holidays for working-day tariffs. The authority publishes holiday hours and gate closings for each terminal; check them.
Which carriers do we hold Savannah tariffs for?
Hapag-Lloyd has Savannah rows. Maersk and ZIM rows are all-ports rows. We hold no MSC demurrage rows for Savannah and no ONE file. Each carrier page says what we hold.
