# How Turkey's additional customs duty works for goods from China

Turkey adds an additional customs duty (İGV) for origins without a trade agreement, including China. It is added to the base duty, and VAT is charged on the total.


## Where the rates live

The base duty and the additional duty are published in different decree annexes, and they change during the year. Purserhouse does not yet calculate Turkish duty because the tariff is published as scanned documents; the answer is "not calculated", never zero. Check the current decree annexes.
