# IEEPA tariff refund calculator: is this entry in the refund window?

Enter the entry date, the origin and the 9903 lines with the duty printed on the 7501. Each line is matched to CBP's headings and entry dates. You get the printed duty inside the window, not an interest figure, and not a promise.

This tool sums the duty **you type in**; it never estimates a duty. Use the numbers printed on the 7501 for each Chapter 99 (9903) line.

## How to read the result

- **Inside the CBP refund window (CAPE):** the heading, origin and entry date match a row in [our table](../hts-codes/) that CBP treats as refundable. Whether CAPE accepts the entry still depends on its liquidation status (unliquidated, or up to 80 days past liquidation), which a 7501 does not show. Check it in ACE.
- **Not inside the window:** the heading is known but the entry date or origin does not match a refundable row.
- **Not checked:** we have no row for that heading. This is not a finding that the entry is ineligible.
- Interest is not included. CBP calculates interest under 19 CFR 24.36 and pays it inside the refund.
- Only the importer of record or the broker that filed the entry can file in CAPE. The [guide](../) explains the process.

Without JavaScript this page is only the explanation above. To have every line of a real 7501 checked at once, send the document.
