What we watch
These are the public figures Purserhouse reads. A source is used to check your documents only after its licence review. They are read automatically from official and published sources and shown here as they are stored.
What each figure means
Exchange rates. US dollars per one unit of each currency, from the European Central Bank, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, and the fixed pegs for the UAE dirham (3.6725 per USD) and the Saudi riyal (3.75 per USD). Updated every working day.
Freight trend by lane. The Freightos Baltic Index (FBX) for a 40ft container on each China lane, read daily from the public lane pages. It shows where the market is moving, not a price you can book. A forwarder’s quote includes local charges, free time and terms that an index does not.
Forwarder median. Customers also see the median of rates that forwarders shared with us for their lane. It is published only when at least three forwarders have shared a rate, uses each forwarder’s latest rate, and never names anyone. It is a customer feature, so it is not on this public page.
What we watch. Each source we read automatically and when it last updated: sanctions screening lists, war-risk listed areas, tariff schedules, port codes and exchange rates. Only the name and update time are shown here, not the data.
Update cadence
- Exchange rates, FBX trend, US screening list, UN Security Council list, war-risk listed areas, US tariff schedule, Dubai Customs tariff: daily.
- US Section 301 duties: weekly.
- UN/LOCODE port codes: monthly.
- US customs rulings (CBP CROSS): on demand, per HS heading.
