# UFLPA supplier check: is a supplier name on the Entity List?

Type the supplier's name as it appears on the invoice. The check compares the normalised name with the UFLPA Entity List and the other screening lists we read. A match is a lead to verify on the official list; no match is not a clearance.

## How to read the result

- **UFLPA Entity List hit.** The name matches an entry. Open the official list and confirm it is the same company (address, aliases, section). Under the Act, goods produced by a listed entity are presumed prohibited under 19 U.S.C. 1307; see [the Entity List](../entity-list/) for what the sections mean.
- **Other screening hit.** The name matches a different restricted-party list. The result names the list and the programs. It is also only a possible match.
- **No hit.** It means no list entry has the same normalised name. It is not a clearance. The presumption reaches goods made in Xinjiang by any producer, so supply-chain tracing matters more than a name search.
- **Screening unavailable.** The tool says so when the main list is absent or not current, and then nothing was checked.

## FAQ

**What counts as a match?**

The normalised name or an alias equals the list entry's. There are no partial matches, so a different transliteration of the same company can be missed.

**Does no hit mean my supplier is clear?**

No. The presumption also covers goods made wholly or in part in Xinjiang by any producer and goods with inputs from there. A name check cannot see a sub-supplier.

**Where does the list come from?**

From the DHS UFLPA Entity List page. The official list is the DHS page and the Federal Register notices.
